Next Lich King

Okay. I know there has been a lot of discussion about who the next Lich King will be, but I am going to lay out the possibilities and the Logical answer.

So there are a couple people who could be the new Lich King. But firstly, I want to point out that the weapon Frostmourne isn’t what gains you the rank of the Lich King. Frostmourne is just a runeblade that the Lich King uses as a weapon to drain souls. Now what really grants the next Lich King that ranking is the helmet. As we’ve seen in cinematics before Arthas becomes the Lich King when he actually wears the Helmet. And as Arthas dies he uses his last ounce of energy trying to get the helmet. Take a look.

So now the possible candidates for the New Lich King.

Tirion Fordring is one, Highlord Bolvar Fordragon is another, and Darion Mograine.

Darion Mograine
People say that it is Darion because he is the leader of Ebon Blade and he now seeks to find a peaceful place for Death Knights to bask in and stay at peace. That Death Knight class needs to stay around in Cataclysm and if they don’t have a place in the story line then they won’t be continued in Cataclysm like they are. But! Others argue that the next Lich king can just as well provide this place or Death Knights can just continue as they are. It would just make more sense to have Darion as the Lich King for he is the only actual Death Knight Leader besides Arthas.

Tirion Fordring
So Tirion is an important person in the story line as well. Here we discuss that Tirion starts the Argent crusade venture to stop the Lich King. And if you pay attention in the Video below you will see that Tirion is a commanding figure who seems powerful enough to stop the Lich King as he portrays a strong challenge which makes the Lich King Flee.

Tirion says “you are a damned monster Arthas!”
Arthas respons “You were right Fordring, I did send them in to die (Darion and his Death Knights) Their Lives are meaningless, but yours…
Which is showing that Tirions life has importance to the Lich King. And as you see Darion Throws him the Ashbringer which could stop the Lich King.

Highlord Bolvar Fordragon
Now in my opinion I think that Bolvar is going to be the new Lich King! And here is why. In this video Highlord Bolvar is one of the few who is the first to vow to bring the Lich King to Justice. Thus making him someone who wants to stop all the evil doing Arthas has done. He seems like a good person to stop the Lich King and leave the story at a happy ending lol. Also lets get into more detail now. Highlord as we believe dies in the video for the cinematic at the Wrathgate against Arthas right? Well lets see.

As you see he clearly falls in the gas and gets burned by the fire as the dragons come at the end. But does he really die? NO!!!!! No he doesn’t people. Also we know that Saurfang dies at the gate too but he is brought back as a death knight but there is never any real mention as to where is or what happen to Bolvar. Also here is a picture of the Saurfang talk at the start of Icecrown Citadel fight that shows their plans to stop the Lich King and Save Bolvar. As Bolvar does yell as well signaling that he is alive!
